In this course the student is confronted with clay modeling in low and/or high relief by discovering the techniques for making sculptures with particular attention to the types of clay mixture, modeling and shaping techniques, the problems of making artifacts with significant thicknesses and the criticalities and defects that can result until experimenting with the application of coatings, i.e., the techniques for coloring works such as those of the Renaissance typical of the Della Robbia family.
